Pioneering Healthy workspace

The Office Group is home to one of the most creative, exciting and forward-thinking working communities in the UK.

As a serviced office provider, they have always focused on design, making sure each workspace is different and individual. Response to the architecture, location and context of each building is paramount to their strategy of providing ‘places for people’ and today, they have over 50 buildings across the UK and Germany and over 20,000 members.

  • TOG have always had ‘Health & Wellbeing’ as one of their key metrics for providing successful spaces people wanted to work in.

Until they found out about the WELL Building Standard, they had no way to formally recognise their high levels of human-centric design.

The problem was, they were about to embark on their largest building project to date - they wanted a WELL accreditation but weren’t sure what work would be involved & crucially how much it would cost.

  • We worked extensively with the TOG design teams, HR and Operations teams to map out the most cost effective pathway to their desired Platinum Accreditation. All features were worked through in detail with the QS to ascertain cost impact.

We have also authored compliant evidence and led the project through the pre-certification process, allowing the building to be marketed to prospective tenants.

  • The Platinum rating is to be delivered with inconsequential material capex costs.

All parties are bought into the process & we look forward to delivering many more projects with TOG.

  • “WELL was a completely new thing for our internal teams but Forsta have made the process really, really simple. Their coaching & evidence service has been invaluable - I would not hesitate to recommend them. Thanks guys!”

    NB - Project Director, TOG
